Oops! 1 month post :)

Just realized that I didn't make a 1 month post. Here are some pictures!

Eli is 2 months!

Eli's 2nd month was a busy one! December always means we are constantly on the go. Our little guy did wonderfully even with being so busy.

We celebrated his first Christmas!

Right after Christmas he picked up a little cold from Rylie. She ended up with a double ear infection and some out of control asthma. Cole ended up with a cough, runny nose, and pink eye. Eli somehow managed to only get a runny nose and cough for about 3 days. I was so happy to see him handle it well with no signs of asthma or reactive airway disease. This has always been a concern of ours if we were to have another child, so it's wonderful to see that so far, he just might be in the clear.

Warning: This paragraph contains a large amount of poop talk. Another problem that came up right around Christmas was constant diarrhea. Every time he ate, he had diarrhea instantly. He got a bad rash from it and had to switch to disposable diapers (yes, we use cloth, but that's a whole other post.) Finally, after THREE doctors appointments trying to figure it out, his pediatrician suggested we switch him to soy formula. Within the first bottle of soy, the diarrhea was gone. What a relief! We're still trying to figure out which formula is best for him because he's constipated. He's always struggling to go and when he does, it's a tiny amount. Today I mixed his old formula, Alimentum, with the new soy stuff and that seems to have helped. Hopefully the combo will work for him. :D

Yesterday he had his 2 month check up. He was 12lbs 4 oz and 23 inches. That was 50th percentile for height and head and 50-75th percentile for weight. I checked the big kids' records and he is bigger than Rylie at this age but smaller than Cole. Considering Rylie is much bigger than Cole was at her age, none of this really matters. Who knows how big he will be!

He started smiling right around 5 weeks. This is such a fun time in infancy. I love seeing him change each day. Now, at 2 months old he smiles almost every time I talk to him. I was able to catch a couple smiles on camera.

He gives this little half smile grin most of the time. So adorable.

Our little guy is growing so fast. He's moved up to 3-6 month clothing for the first part. It seems that his arms and torso are pretty long and he outgrows shirts and tops of outfits way before the legs. He's built just like his siblings I guess :)
